Evacuation plan in case of fire or emergency

Drafting of evacuation plan is a fundamental process for ensuring people's safety in the event of a fire or emergency. This plan includes clear instructions on how to safely exit a building or designated area and minimize the risk to the life and health of present individuals.
Key elements of the evacuation plan:
- Identification of exit routes - Clear identification and marking of all emergency routes/exits.
- Installation of signage - Illuminated evacuation direction signs for emergency exits must be clearly visible and strategically placed.
- Installation of the evacuation plan on the premises - Through a clear map, placed in one or more locations on the premises, the fastest and safest evacuation route is indicated.
- Emergency equipment - The evacuation plan must accurately indicate the location of alarms, fire extinguishers/hydrants on the premises.
- Designation of assembly point/points – After exiting the building, people must proceed to a pre-designated safe area called the safe meeting point or assembly point.
